Re: Ebay and sports cards
Hi. I'm a newbie to this forum and re-introduced to sports card collecting.
I have a questions regarding sports cards on Ebay. How trustworthy does everyone feel about cards on Ebay? Some cards go for way below their value... is there a way to protect yourself against fakes?
Thanks for any input

i have never had a problem... never gotten a fake etc... the cards go for way under value because there is a flood of the market... i would say only buy vintage that is graded but for normal cards you should be ok

The only fake cards you should worry about is vintage and fake patches on jersey cards. Some older autographed sets feature autos on base cards and then they stamped them or put a sticker on it but they're easy to fake. So you just have know what to look for.

I've heard alot of bad things about ebay, and alot of good things.. Ebay is risky like that... And a person with good feed back doesnt mean anything anymore because people are affraid to leave negative feed back for sellers because the seller will just turn around and leave a negative feed back for the buyer.
They need to make it that the seller leaves the feedback first.
