Would you pay...
Patrick Patterson 10-11 R&S Team Patches Blue /10. Would you pay $50+ for it. I am a Patterson collector and I do need this one for my pc. Being /10 it will be harder for me to find again. So, I'm asking fellow collectors of any player, with similar situation, what would you do?

If thats the 1st /10 you've seen I would say absolutely no way. Im sure there are other cards that you could pick up for the $50 without overpaying for them... Another /10 is bound to show up so be patient and you'll get it for 1/2 that.
As a player collector i know how exciting it is to see those rarer cards pop up, but i'll also shed some of my hindsight with you and tell you to just wait... there will always be another card another day.

I pay whatever it takes within reason to get the Kevin Durant cards I want. I generally have an idea of what it "should" go for. I don't mind going above and beyond that, but at a certain point it's just not worth it and you're better off waiting.
Fifty for that one seems a bit high to me, but if it's worth it to you, that's all that matters.

That's exactly what I keep telling myself, and that is the first time it has shown up. Now if wasn't a buy it now and an auction, I would try for it.

I'd wait. I paid $45 for a B.J. Mullens #/10 patch auto from R&S when it first came out. Couple months later picked up another with a nicer patch for $15.

Go ahead and send the seller a message with an offer. You never know man, he might accept your offer, I've done it a few times and have been successful, doesn't hurt to try.

No, because a couple years later that same card will be selling for a couple bucks + shipping. Unless this guy becomes a major superstar.

Thanks for all the responses. Patterson is my main collection now. Heck I am even thinking about selling most of my Wall's that I have. I am trying to get 1 of every card of P Patt, and now I am down to mostly the low #'d except for several prestige inserts.

I would also wait... it's easier to wait on the rookies because when they don't start producing immediately a lot of collectors start to abandon ship, so to speak.
