Yup and looks like Bynum will be starting, which sucks because he's only been playing for a couple of games and hasn't done much stats wise.

I know Gasol is listed as a foward.
The NBA is not that dumb to start a Andrew Bynum or a Haywood just because they are 2nd in voting.
Last year A.I. was suppose to be the starting PG for the East, but the NBA placed Joe Johnson as his replacement for the starting spot. (If I remember correctly...)

this is exactly why i think it's bogus that rondo would get the start over rose....yes, rondo had a fantastic start to the year but has now been injured, while rose has been consistently playing great all year and has led the bulls to a 22-10 record without KG, Pierce, and Ray Allen.

Rondo is gonna start because he's better than Rose.
And as the voting shows, people believe that.

rondo is not better than rose
rose is 8th in the league in scoring with 24 ppg
rondo isnt even in the top 40
rondo does have 13 apg
but rose has 9
plus rose has delt with key players being out and rondo has played less games making it easier to keep his avg high and he has a very good and healthy team
Rose is thebetter than rondo

I know that most people will vote Rondo over Rose but I have to disagree with them.
Looking at pure PG duty, Rondo did better but definitely not overall. Rondo has terrible jump shots and, maybe a PG who has the worst FT% in NBA history. He play with 4 future HOF. (all of them scored more than 20000 pts.)
Rose and Rondo are different style PG. I think Rose is more like SG who has to play PG because his size.
Moreover, although Yao will win the vote, coach can choose Gasol or Duncan as starting center since Yao was out for the entire season. (I think last year Gasol listed as PF but coach chose him as reserve center)Last edited by airnoname; 01-02-2011 at 02:24 PM.

I voted for Nene. However, I only voted once - not every day - and as others have mentioned, most fans just vote by favoritism instead of by performance, so naturally more well-known names like Ming and Bynum are leading him despite their injuries (Haywood is really inexplicable, though
).

The problem with the ballot is I can't vote Duncan in at C, so I had to go with Okafor. Seems kind of silly that just because whoever created the ballot determined Duncan is a forward, I can't vote for him to start. Should vote for a PG, two wings, and two bigs.

Who still think Rondo should still start over Rose in the All-Star game this year after the Bulls win tonight
