    What do you do when...

What do you guys do when you can't get your most wanted card(crosby ice script or glacial graph for me)? I have some decent cards to trade for one, and no one responds on the forum saying there is one FT. Do you look elsewhere, or just buy one, or look at every penguins fan bucket, get some rediculous traidbait, or what?Need some help, a lot of trades i have been talking with people about never seem to pan out.

That's why I prefer to stick mainly to buying and selling. Sometimes it's tough to find trades, whereas cash always talks.

I collect vintage, so I usually wait. I have waited over a year for a chance at certain cards. You need to have the cash ready when that card pops up.

You just have to laugh it off. If I had a dollar for every person on here that had a Trade List full of base cards, but wanted HOF Autos in return, I'd be a millionaire.

Don't sweat it. Some day your card will come along.

Just don't get to down over it. I have sent tons of pm's to members about cards i want for my pc and usually only about 40% ever respond, so i try not to think about it to much and just keeping looking. If there is something i don't think will show up on here i go to ebay and look often. Keep your eyes open, because when you least expect it the card you have been waiting for might show itself.

centre the thing is im not offering awful deals or anything, i have some pretty sick patches of guys like fleury, toews, kane, lidstrom and some autos like fleury,zetterberg,toews/datsyuk and offering 2 or 3 of those for 1, so they are getting probably even more value wise technically, but im gonna keep lookin, keep bumping, the problem is the card i want goes for probably 75ish or more on ebay and i dont have a ton of cash(college student)...if anyone knows anyone with one lmk though!

Usually somebody with a Crosby will want a single card of equal or greater value in return. Like the others are saying just go with the flow and that card you've been dreaming of will come along soon enough. Good luck and hope you get the Crosby you want.

Agreed. I normally buy these days. In fact, I can't even remember when I've actually done a card swap. I'm also at the point in my Crosby collection where I'm not as desperate as I once was. If I lose out on a card, it's no longer a big deal for me. And he's got so many cards that I can pick and choose whatever I want, and not be in "chase" mode - sort of speak.

Hopefully you pick one up soon, I hate sitting on cards that aren't PC, so any chance I get to trade them for something I want is fine with me, but if I had a card that someone wanted, and they didn't have anything I needed, nor any trade bait that would make it a fair trade for me, I would have to sit on it as well. No sense losing out on both ends of a trade, you know? I can see why someone wouldn't trade it to you for even your best stuff, if only because they're just interested in PC-related trades. It's a bummer that you end up unable to make a deal for what you need, but there's at least a reason behind it in that kind of case.

That said, what I really don't get is people who will ask to trade for something you've got, send you a bucket link and when you shoot them back a list of potential cards you'd be willing to trade for, they tell you that everything you've expressed interest in is "PC" despite their PC clearly being written in their signature, and a whole separate folder in their photobucket labeled PC. Make a new folder, mark it "other PC" or something and move the pics, it's simple. If it's not for trade, remove it from your trade page, haha. It's such a bummer. If I do decide to start any kind of non-Bruins PC, I'll label it non-Bruins PC and make sure people know the cards aren't for trade, it's rude to put out my best cards as trade bait and then say, nope, can't have 'em, they're not for trade. Why torture people like that?

bruinsfan so true, the few crosby autos ive seen have been in PC albums, not all of them say NOT FOR TRADE on it...it just stinks when the cards i have FT are quality good cards, just the people with the crosby autos dont like the players it seems...i might have to resort to buying one
