    Dwayne Roloson Traded to Lightning

    http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=347691

TAMPA, Fla. -- The New York Islanders have parted ways with veteran goaltender Dwayne Roloson, trading him Saturday to the Tampa Bay Lightning for defenceman Ty Wishart.
    Roloson, 41, has a 6-13-1 record this season with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage.

I think this is a very good move for Roloson...

Not a bad trade for both sides.
The isles needed defense badly, and the Bolts really needed goaltending.
    Isles weakness= defense
    Lightning weakness= goaltending

yeah but the Isles will still have it as a weakness, Wishart has had a weak reputation since the Sharks dangled him as a guy that only wants to concentrate on scoring and plays relaxed on defense or being physical

The isles better wrap DiPietro in bubble wrap.

I guess they are giving up on this season already, trading Wiz and Roloson in the same week. They just dumped $5.5 million in salary with those 2 trades and are $19 million under the cap.

Are they now below the salary floor? If so, wouldn't this be a violation?

They are good.. barely but ok.

They have Witt and Yashins buyouts plus potential bonuses for ELC guys like Bailey, Tavares etc

Tampa will do well with a goalie who isn't afraid of the puck.
