eBay chargeback question
I recently received a notice from eBay regarding an item that was "not received". I will lose since I shipped without tracking information. I sold the card for a friend so I don't have any money in my PayPal account. Can I still have money taken from me? I was thinking that they cannot recover anything, unless they apply some kind of charge to my seller account?

This type of question would be better directed to an eBay customer service rep.
I would imagine that if there are no funds in your account they will be able to take some form of other action against you to ensure that you compensate the buyer. Just a guess, mind you.

They will take it from your bank account, had it happen to me. Make sure there is enough in your bank, they overcharged me and I had to pay another 30 for an overdrawl.

Not sure how they do it - but I would imagine that they'll just put your account into the negatives, and notify you that you owe them money.... and will not be able to use the accout until you bring the balance back to zero. Refusal to pay, they'd probably send you to collections.

You go into negative and can't use the account until you are out of the negative. Be careful that it isn't an ebay claim, as opposed to a Paypal claim. I got screwed on that one. Ebay wouldn't let me post anything until I paid them. But they don't tell you how to pay them, and when you call ebay nobody knows. And Paypal, nobody knows either. I figured it out after not being able to sell for nearly a month!
