    new here

Hi. New to site and forums in general. Just started getting back into collecting and thought this would be a great venue to do so. I don't have phot buckett or anything like that. What's the best way to get started? Should I just use the card inventory database on this site?

Welcome to SCF! The inventory feature on here is a wonderful tool. Many members are beginning to use it.

    What sports do you collect?

    Welcome to SCF.

There are a few main tools. You can create a website, like this one:
    https://sites.google.com/site/reoddai002/
OR, you can create a photobucket:
    http://s240.photobucket.com/albums/ff284/reoddai/
OR you can use the SCF system (similar to a combo of the two above):
    https://www.sportscardforum.com/scf/inventory/reoddai

I suggest, take a look at all three and see what you think best suits you. Personally, I'm going with the SCF system because it can also store BV data.

    Cheers,
    reoddai

Hey there, welcome to SCF and welcome back to the hobby. My best advice would be to take things one step at a time. There will be new methods and terminology to get used to, but don't let it stifle your hobbying. As far as setting up a bucket goes, I'd say a photobucket account is the most common, but the SCF card inventory has a lot of potential, is still quite new, and is growing every day. Perhaps you might try both and see which feels more natural.

Welcome to SCF! As some members already mentioned, see what works best for you as there are a few different methods of listing the cards you have and the ones you want. This is a great site to trade cards and talk about the hobby and we have many active members all throughout the boards including the baseball forums. Good luck with your collection and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

    Andrew
