Help, opinions appreciated!

Hey everybody

Havent collected for 15 years and after breaking my old collection and looking at it, its revived real interest in me to start again, especially after looking at all the auto and patch cards these days. I just have a couple of questions hopefully you guys can help me
out..

Im looking to buy and break few boxes of cards up to the $100(per box) range to start and pretty excited since i havent had the feeling of that in yearsss. I got a buddy (ive convinced him to start collecting again as well) with whom I can split a case with up to the 1200 range.

Just wondering if you have any suggestions which hobby boxes (any year) are best for hits and which ones are like high risk/high reward etc..Ive looked at pretty much all the boxes was hoping for sugestions..not interested in any cheap stuff, but i do want bang for my buck in the higher end stuff..

I really like the look of the Timeless Treasures (2009-10, or 2010-11) series right now, whats your guys opinion on them? Is it worth it for a case?

Ive been hearing a lot about how panini products are really not worth the money (besides the National Treasure boxes), because the biggest hits you can make dont really do more than cover the cost of the box (may be wrong,just what ive been reading alot of) do most people agree with that?

Would be awesome if you could list your guys top 3 picks for the price value

If you absolutely HAVE to go the Panini, National treasures probably their best product. A case of Panini HOF might give you decent value also especially with some of the Team USA stuff you can get from that; It's a okay product too if you are into autos of older players.

I was acutally saying that i was worried about buying panini cause ive read that u dont get much value from their products..I want something higher end where its the bigger hits actually do more than just cover the price of the box, which i heard is one of the negatives of paninis stuff..

Ya couldnt wait and ended up splitting a case of Timeless Treasures with a buddy. Should be here in the next cpl of days. But im planning to get a case of the national treasures when they come out as well..hopefully will have some scan worthy hits to post out of the timeless treasures box!
