The first thing you need to do is also the second, third and hundredth - be d*mm sure that the stick is really from Dryden. What people either don't know or either forget, is that things were much different in the 70's, 60's and 50's (ie) where a player may go around with a bag full of a dozen sticks today, back in the day, goalies could often use the same stick for 2+ years. Seems crazy but it's also a fact if you ever ask one of them.
I've been fortunate in that I've been able to meet many HOF goalies at shows and such and had a chance to chat with many of them. The first thing that stuck out, was that back in the day it was the teams who owned the goalie equipment - not the individual players. Glenn Hall told me how his blocker would often go in for repairs and they would "re-stuff" it with horse hair. If a stick had a crack in it - it got taped up, not replaced. If it got another crack - more tape. I've heard the same story from other goalies that played as far back in the 60's.
As for Dryden, I acquired one of his Game-Used sticks a few years back - complete with a major crack right in the shaft. It cost me a fortune but I was 100% confident that it was his stick. A major dealer had purchased a collection from an older woman in the Quebec region. While her husband had apparently passed on some years back, when he was alive and working, it was as an employee of the Montreal Canadiens for some 30+ years. He had photos showing himself with the likes of the Rocket, Irvin, Blake etc.
Lastly, even if you're sure that the stick is authentic, I'd be leery about having a Dryden signature on it. Dryden is not just "anti" the sports collectible industry but "ANTI" to the point where he won't sign his name on anything with his picture as a hockey player on it. He'll sign a blank piece of paper for you, his book but not anything hockey-related. This isn't a new trend of his either but something he's done consistently since the early 80's.
When I purchased my stick, I was told that based on Dryden's playing career and the such, that there were likely less then 20 or so "authentic" Game-used sticks that he would have used for that period. He also played for Team Canada a couple of times, so that may add a few to the final number but it's still not allot.
Hope some of this helps. Good-luck with your purchase.
*If the auto and the stick are both "authentic", I think if you could get it for anywhere under $2500, it would be a steal. With anyone else - much cheaper but with Dryden's "unique" personality and "love" for the hobby, an authentic piece would be a rare find.

As for card with autograph only two 1/1 with auto have been produce by a card company, mainly ITG. One was pulled at a toronto show and I bought the other 1/1 from a SCF member.
The same year they made my card, they were support to make 9 other cards with a print run of /9 but the word is they were never made, just to tell you how is auto can be rare.
This is a authentic auto from him.

Also this pop up this year and would be the third one of one but I know nothing about Famous Fabric. My local store sell them but I have not bought any.

Actually Future Trends produced the first pack pulled certified Ken Dryden auto in it's Summit Series 72 set. There were 750 signed sets produced and available in the wax and another 2500 sets (allegedly) that were not marked with the special certification coating available through The Bay (although it seems to be a much smaller number as most believe these were done up on a to order basis).
Not my auction but here's the pack pulled Dryden FT auto

As for cut autos, there's now 6 more "1/1" cuts available through Famous Fabrics and sure to be many more as Dryden's auto is actually quite easy to acquire.

Dryden has very few cards to his name considering he's a legend. He has about 80-90, I think, and few Game-Used cards. The price? It depends on how much you want the card. If you REALLY want it, you should offer a lot of money to try and get it.
