Topps has come out with own own set to commemorate the various USA baseball team (16U, 18U and Collegiate). The 65-card base set features all the players of the three teams. Every box will contain a complete set. But the main attraction of the box set are the 10 relics, autos or auto/relics in each box. It's a baseball fan's paradise to open a box with that much possibility.

While it's always good to obtain a complete set in one shot and to get a nice bang for your buck with the extra goodies, there's a lot lacking in this release. The design could have been better. When anyone puts together a set that is centered around a particular country, it should symbolize that country. Topps tried to do that with the red, white and blue motif, but more could have been done. The fun and excitement is removed when all the enjoyment is bundled up on one side of the container. At least build up the anticipation by wrapping the "hit" cards. And in the end, I do not foresee collectors jumping at the chance to buy multiple boxes of this release. While there are names that stick out such as Jackie Bradley Jr., AJ Vanegas and George Springer, in truth, not many are going to know the 16U players unless they are associated with the players in some way so to get something of theirs is not all that appealing.

Once again, I'd like to thank our wonderful sponsors at Topps for giving us the opportunity to open and review this release. For more information on all their products, you can check them out at www.topps.com.
