Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - Edmonton Oilers rookie forward Jordan Eberle underwent an emergency appendectomy on Wednesday night.
The Journal revealed on Thursday that the rookie winger, who is laid up with a sprained left ankle, had the procedure but it will not keep him out of the lineup longer than the ankle issue will.

Thankfully its not going to keep him out any longer than the Ankle already is. Rotten spell of luck for Eberle.

Go in for an ankle sprain, get an apendectomy on the side. Might as well get it out of the way while you are on the mend.

Is there an intended pun in there? Well played.
Hopefully he's back on the ice soon. Very exciting young player.
