How many Canadian teams will make the playoffs?

If you're a fan of Canadian teams, the standings right now are ugly. Only the Canucks and Habs are in playoff spots, and Montreal sits tenuously in eighth place. So, how many of the Canadian teams will play beyond their 82 games?

My guess is that only the Canucks make it.....I expect them to be at or near the top of the conference before the Sedins and Luongo lead them to their usual pre-Finals exit. Beyond them, I see Montreal being passed and the others continuing to fight for spots in 10th or worse.

    Your thoughts?

van city, every other canadian team is rotten and horrid. especially edm they have so much good young talent that they are actually a stacked roster, but coaching and the management has failed anually to form the juggernaut that it should be.

Canucks and Habs will both make it - Canucks easily, but Montreal's spot will be determined by two things:
    1. Carey Price's ability to maintain his current pace without burning out.
    2. How the remaining 4 games against the Bruins go. If the Habs can take the majority I think they will win the division; if not, it will be the struggle for one of the final spots.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

    The Habs & the Canucks.

At the start of the season there was no reason to think that Edmonton, Calgary, and Toronto wouldn't be fighting for last place..... and there was no reason to think that Ottawa would be any better than a 10th or 11th place team. None of them have done much to suggest otherwise.

Vancouver has a very good team, and everyone should have known they'd cruise to 1st place in their division.

Montreal, I suspect will make the playoffs (unless the injuries get even worse).

Looking at the standings now.... if a 9th place team (or lower) is to make it, the only ones I see changing are:

    Carolina in, Atlanta out
Los Angeles or St. Louis in, Colorado or Anahime out
