2010-11 SPGU Letter Marks Redemptions Question
Hi everyone,
So 2010-11 SPGU is out and I've noticed that some of the Letter Marks cards are redemptions (including Sam Gagner and Matt Duchene). I've picked up a Gagner Redemption already and I've got a couple of questions:
1. How I can find out which letter of his name this redemption is for?
2. Would every letter of the name be a redemption (Thus requiring me to get 6 redemption cards for Gagner)?

I haven't seen the redemptions yet, but I do believe you will receive one at random, unless it states whichever #/6. If that is stated then the # used in the serial would correspond to the letter. i.e. 1 for G, 2 for A... and so on.

i have noticed that too and was wondering the same for jordan staal. i looked at malkins letter marks and i only noticed 2 M and E. e for evgeni and m for malkin. so for sam gagne i think it would be s and g. that is what i think i might be wrong though

I suspect you'll get a random letter. One would think that if you redeemed multiples, Upper Deck would try to give you a variety.... but who knows?
Once they're live, you'll have the chance to pick up the ones you still need.

They randomly give them out - if they notice that you have sent in a large number of them they will try to get a full name sent your way. It helps to give them a call when you enter the codes so that they have a heads-up and don't sent you 3 of one letter and 2 of another.
Regarding the Malkin that somebody mentioned earlier, keep in mind that they also do Team Marks so the "E" was probably for Penguins - they've never done the player's first name.

One thing to bear in mind is that they may never be made. I have several Cogliano's on my redemption wait list (doubt they will ever be made). There are numerous other players from different years not being made from letter marks and number marks. I mean it is a manufactured patch signed how hard could it be :)
