Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects is back with a vengeance. The base cards are divided up into four separate sets. There are Bowman Draft, Bowman Prospects, Bowman Chrome and Bowman Chrome Prospects. The card design is based off of the cards you would find the regular Bowman release. The player's photo dominates the front of the card with the player's name and team logo at the bottom. The Prospects and Chrome versions also contain members of USA Baseball.

There are no inserts in this release. However, you will find many refractor and parallels versions of each card. The numbered versions range from as high as 399 and as low as 1. Typically, you will only find a couple per box.

Each box yields only 1 autograph. While there is a small pool of players selected to have autographs in Bowman Draft, the most sought after are the AFLAC series which highlights the stars of tomorrow in high school.

Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects is a prospector's dream. With an abundance of future stars and current rookies, this product gives baseball followers a chance to jump in early on potential superstars. There are 4 sets that contain 110 cards each, but in truth, this is a 440-card set in itself. This is not for a casual collector as a lot of the names will not be familiar to a regular fan. But once you get past the lackluster design and the lack of name recognition, you can find some enjoyment. But unfortunately, most it won't be realized until down the road as this is centered around players with potential. With that said, this really is easily a product where you will want to get multiple times over. While the one autograph may turn you off, the limit on the checklist makes it a worthwhile set to put together.
