Not lame at all. When are you going? I don't know anything about their park, but Eric Hosmer is there and he's supposed to be a stud, and if they happen to be playing Myrtle Beach, they have Julio Teheran who is going to be a beast of a pitcher.

Went on Sunday and it was the Pelicans, but saw Brett Oberholtzer pitch. Eric Hosmer isn't on their roster and wasn't in the line-up but he was on the cover of their current program. Took some great pics that I might either turn into customs (don't have Photoshop and Picasa doesn't really do the trick) or just print them out and TTM them in. Didn't get there early enough to catch them warming up but I am going back in a few weeks against Salem so I'll keep you posted. Might make this a weekend thing since Camden Riversharks are also close to me and Trenton Thunder, Leigh Valley IronPigs and Reading Phils are just over an hour. Thanks guys.

i graphed the blue rocks this summer. i got a total of 177 autos from 6 games. the main highlights were
hosmer on about 7 cards, an 8x10, and about 6 4x6 photos.
colon on 7 programs(all in same game-i actually FOUND 3 of them already signed just laying on the steps.
myers- an 8x10, 4 cards and 2 4x6's
the rocks games are a lot of fun and i can not wait until next season stars

Getting Auto's at the Single A level is far from Lame. At that level you never get turned down when asking for auto's. I went to 5 Brooklyn Cyclone games this season. I made sure I got as many Darrel Cecilani and Cory Vaughn auto's. Those 2 guys are probably the only 2 players on that team that will make it to the Bigs.
Do your homework and go after the high prospects.

places like that I often do team pieces so I can get everyone. i started getting 11x14 frame mats at arts stores for about $2. i get the players to sign the mat (you can fit 15-20 on one mat), then print out an 8x10 of the team logo to put inside the mat and frame. works well and looks decent for a low cost

nothing is wrong with auto'ing single a games, i dont do it on a big level like some collectors on here but in the last few years( living out in so cal) ive got such major leaguers and hot prospects as howie kendrick, brandon wood, ivan dejusus jr, blake dewitt, matt antonelli, kyle blanks, austin gallagher, ethan martin, james adkins, and even got former major leaguers turned minor league coaches franklin stubbs, charlie hough, and norm charlton, and if you are even lucky rehabbing superstars will sign, thats how i got manny ramirez on a authentic dodgers jersey.
