Keselowski made $1.1 million in the Nationwide Series this past year. Nemechek made $2.5 million in Cup this past year with only one finish better than 38th all season.

Great new rule ,However they still need to limit the amount of races a cup guy can run in the Insurance series ...I say 10 and that's it ..

I say they should ONLY let the full time Cup guys run in the Nationwide Series from February to November...

Is Nascar finally listening to the fans? According to the 2011 Nascar Competition Membership & License Application, drivers must now select which series they will collect championship points in. A quote from Kenny Wallace says:

"The brand-new license forms that are out, there's a box and in it, it states that you have to mark -- put an X -- what championship you're running for," Wallace said, quoting his application. "A driver will only be permitted to earn driver championship points in one (1) of the following three series: NASCAR Sprint Cup, NASCAR Nationwide or NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Please select the series in which you would like to accumulate driver championship points. Choose one."

So what is that going to do to the individual series, and will this decision affect the ticket sales even further? Will Cup series drivers still want to run in the Nationwide or Truck series just for track advise? If not, will the same or lesser numbers of fans appear in the seats for a race?

Not sure what to think of the impact this will make on the Nationwide & Truck series compared to the Cup series. Time will tell. Nascar is expected to make a "Competition Update" announcement on January 21st.

AH... I missed it because of the title. It concerning all 3 series not just Nationwide. Thanks for catching this.
