I know one thing... the quickest way to suck for a decade is to bring in free agents to "compete," and I use that term lightly, just to appease fans in the short term. If you want proof, just look at the Knicks. If I was a Cavs fan I'd want the team to be absolutely horrible for 2-3 years, as that's the quickest way to build a true 5-7+ year true contender if you've got the right people in the front office. If you want proof of that, just look at Oklahoma City. You think free agents are lining up at the doors to play here? Easy answer, no. But if you can build a solid foundation and get players to buy into the winning culture, you've got a shot at adding 1-2 good free agents down the line. Not the gunners that will play anywhere for the big contracts, but players who will actually help win games that matter.

That's what I've been preaching since July. It makes no sense to even attempt to 'contend' when THIS team can't be turned into a Championship contender. We have to rebuild, there's no point in putting off the rebuilding process. Start it as soon as possible.

my friend spent $9,000 on season tickets this year and i keep telling him to wait to see if lebron resigned-but he didn't and now he can't give the tickets away.he only uses them know to get autographs before the game.

I just dont see any of the guys stepping up acting like they want to win. I would be sick and tired of getting blown out every night. Whats that 12 or 13 in a row now? I know the bench is low people are hurt.

Cleveland is the only sport's city that I feel sorry for. So rough there.

They need to get rid of Mo Williams, he plays horrible. Probably one in every 10 games he will play well. He has horrible shot selection.

Some good points in here about the team. I think they put their eggs in the Lebron basket last offseason because it was their best option at landing a great player (was anyone else asking to come to this team?) and to make it clear to Lebron that he was their #1 and only option. The team is horrible now but when you look at who they lost in free agency and the injuries they've had, it makes sense. I totally buy in to the previous post about how free agents aren't the way to turn things around and the exception is if you are in a nice market or great team. Look at how players like Durant, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, etc. have turned teams around that were floundering. The Cavaliers need to get bad before they'll get better. It just stinks that they made fans lock in their season tickets early, before Lebron left. They'll be plenty of those dropped this offseason.
