Drew Doughty Drills Taylor Hall
Wow what a hit.
THAT is how you hit a guy cleanly in the NHL today.
I actually "WHOA!" out loud on that one the first time I saw it.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Is there such thing as a clean body check these days? I swear every big hit is a "Head shot" these days.
It makes me sick.

How is that clean? He got all head. I'm sure the kings crew will come to his defense but thats not a clean hit.

or the Sabre Mafia.
It all depends on the angle you look at the hit from... but this is NOT a head shot... pause the video around 2:01 - 2:03... Doughty side is in his shoulder/clavicle area... this is a CLEAN HIT!
If you want to see Hall's head hitting something, it's almost Doughty's rear end!

you don't believe me! Here is the evidence! :)

Yeah, welcome to the NHL. I love it :) It's a clean hit. Doughty is awesome, Taylor Hall is awesome, and the immediate reaction by the rest of the Edmonton players on the ice is awesome.

I think it's a little hard to line a guy's head up with your rump going backwards.

Anyway, it was clean but my favorite part is that while Doughty and Hall are both superstars, Hall is a little ninny and back out of the fray while Doughnuts goes BALLISTIC and tries to take on all comers. Of course Dustin Penner comes in to clean up.
That's one thing about LA, they watch each others back, and of course have the enforcer types (Westgarth, Clifford) but I can't think of one guy on that team who won't fight his own battles.
I've seen Justin Williams, Wayne Simmonds, Jack Johnson, Matt Greene, lots of others guy throw down.
Bring it Taylor, Doughty will take you down son!

Sweet hit. Looks like Doughty was going to go for the hip check at first but straighten up at the last moment.
I like how Doughty pushes Hall out of the way when the scrum starts.

Yeah, with Penner monkey draped all over him. Doughty is an animal.
Keep your lips up Taylor when visiting Hollywood!

Here is what Hall had to say:

I say it's a clean hit myself, but it's tough to watch when it's your team's players. Hall is prone to those types of hits because of the way he plays, but he's tough. I wouldn't want to see this sort of thing happen to him all the time though, like it normally does. He has to play smarter in that regard.
