Q: The National Cleveland stamp

98-99 BAP Gold #35
02-03 Signature Ser. #102
received these two sweet signs from well-trusted ebay user. the auction said these are /2 but i didn't take a good look on the pictures when bidding - if you notice there's no numbering on them. seller says it's been verified by beckett market place. is anyone able to confirm this limitation? i've never heard of such not-numbered stamped cards before..

"Verified by Beckett Marketplace"
Beckett Marketplace is the online store on Beckett were brick and mortar shops go to sell their items. Saying that something has been verified by beckett market place is like saying "because the shop owner told me so". Take that as you will.
As for non-numbered cards that are limited in print run, it has happened before, most notably pre 04-05 and also in the late 90's.
For example, in 04-05 Upper Deck series one had patches. If you pulled a patch, there was no numbering on it. However, go to the UD website checklist and voila:
http://sports.upperdeck.com/Hockey/c...&r=1&sid=11702
Print run numbers posted online.
For the larger card conventions, its not impossible that those cards are /2. Depending on the year, Forsberg might have actually been a key pull.
To confirm you'd really need to contact the company that distributed them for the show.
02-03 BAP sig series is ITG. Probably the same for BAP gold from 98-99.
Gl with yous search.

There used to be a master list for these shows on the ITG website - but nobody can seem to find it anymore. I have a similar Yzerman from the Cleveland show and only 5 of those were produced (knowing that #'d just from memory that long ago when the list was available). I would not doubt that only 2 of those Forsbergs were made.

thanks for your replies
its kind of hard to tell from across the sea since i've never been on one of those conventions, but my guess would be BAP cards was stamped & redeemed by ITG.
yet here i have the very same early card with numbering no problemo
so i'm still wondering why the difference.

ok, maybe it's new or maybe i was just blind, but ITG has obviously plenty information about its earlier trade show programs which leads me to...
great i don't see anywhere the "20th National Atlanta"
well, unfortunately there's no list about those not #'d card so i'll need to take your word for it.
(hey, don't get me wrong, foppas autograph is so scarce i'll take it any day even if it wasn't /2 .. but it's a HUGE addition in case it was)
and as for the picture above (whoever did stamped it) my personal guess would be the difference is they're autographed.
you know how it goes with autographs.. so much taste, so little time (to make the cards ready before the show)
could anybody prove me wrong with non-numbered non-auto "The National Cleveland" stamp?
great stevie btw !Last edited by forsbic; 01-20-2011 at 04:01 PM.

From another forum, another member has been looking for this exact list as well. It used to be published, but apparently it got lost in the move or something according to Dr. Price. So, unless somebody has that webpage saved out there for all of prosperity, nobody can confirm or deny for certain the list. I have owned a couple of the cards and I had them on my checklists, so I knew what they were numbered out of (I think I still have a Havlat that only 2 were made).
