    matte or glossy

I am going to get around a few photos and print off for ST. I have always liked matte as it seems that the autograph goes into the paper while on glossy it sets on top of it. The thing is that I see glossy photos for sale all the time as far as signed items go. Is there a reason that they sell glossy auto 8x10's and not matte? I perfer matte ones. What are your thoughts?

I prefer matte. It's a soft and shiny matte I use, like you'd get your professional taken family photos on, not a rough blotchy matte. Sometimes a nice glossy pic looks great signed, but in the room I have most stuff hanging there is recessed lighting and the glare is ridiculous.
