Rookie card parallel ??
This question has been asked before I'm sure, but I don't remember the answer, is a parallel of the regular set rookie card still considered a rookie card ?

Well looking at my parallel's of Mueller all of them say... Rookie on them. they are considered to be rookie cards but not a so called "True" rookie. Kinda like a plate isn't really considered a "True" 1/1

Nope.
Rookie card is part of a base set (even if it is Short Printed). Parallels are Parallels, and not rookie cards.
Doesn't mean they're not better (i.e. more valuable) cards though.

Well you are right in saying they were not true rookie card. Of course as you say Sean does know his stuff (a well worded response).

as mentioned before, the "true" rookie card is part of the base set. the parallels are not "true" rookies. important thing is to remember there's a difference between a rookie card and a rookie year card. ;)

No, they're not considered true RCs. People have been writing to Beckett Hockey to change that, and someone even suggusted they made a new "stamp" for them like "RCP" (Rookie Card Parallel). According to Beckett it's not going to happen though.
