No New Posts??
Ok so there have been no new posts in the football forum since yesterday morning. How else am I to curb my boredom at work if we dont post. I will throw out a topic :
Kellen Winslow? Will his missing this season affect the value of his cards? Will his cards be worth virtuall nothing? If so, please PM me and I will take them off your hands rather than you throwing them away! (I had to add some humor, for goodness sakes it's Friday)
Have a good weekend all.....I know I will, I'll be in Cincy watching the Indians beat on the Reds!!!

I thought his cards were overpriced anyways. I think they would have gone down anyways just because TE isnt a marquee position. Really the only cards that hold their value are RBs and QBs, and a few awesome WRs. I mean look at Heap and Shockey... Even if Winslow ended up begin as good (or maybe even better) than them, their cards are still very affordable.
I think we will see a lot of the 2004 rookie prices go down soon. A lot of the market value was created from hype and bandwagoners.

What more can you say about Kellen Winslow than, what a moron. Here is a guy coming off an injury plagued rookie year where you were hyped up as the greatest tight end since your dad and what do you go out and do. Buy a motorcylce and get into an accident. I guess Kellen never saw what happened to Jay Williams. The best part of it is that is contract is not guaranteed so he is risking an aweful lot just to have some fun on a bike. If I was this guy I would be concentrating on getting healthy for camp and not be riding motorcycles. It also doesn't help that he had one of the biggest mouths of somebody who has never done anything significant in the NFL. Bigger than Shockey in my opinion.
Anyway, regarding his cards, I think prices are already down and will continue to drop as he most likely done for the upcoming season.

Interesting Point...Throw the #1 pick out, and 4-5 teams who CAN'T draft..Period..lol
Ater that, I've done pretty good collecting Low draft picks based on the fact that some teams have awesome scouts IE: Denver Rb's
As for "The Warrior" lmao..He's finished!! It'll be at least 5 years of stellar play before he gets any respect :(
Sad really..His Dad gets carried off the Field due to Overexersion(perhaps the greatest game as far as "Heart & Soul"), and his son well you know

Yeah, what a bozo with that motorcycle accident.. and I was hoping that my 2004 Fleer Tradition Kellen Winslow Crystal Parallel #ed to 75 would be a nice pull.. Its listed to be 2x - 6x the regular RC so at first pricing it was worth about $ 36, but now you can buy his regular RC for about $2, so i guess its dropped drastically.. oh well you win some, lose some

Who?
Kidding, I know who he is but that'll probably be the response to him in a few years. It's not all his fault, or the Browns... Ohio is at fault. I mean come on, does this state have a decent team in any sport? Back on topic. Kel is an idiot who probably just watched Torque and thought he could be Ice Cube or something. You don't try things like that when you're learning to ride, and if you're smart you don't try things like that period. I guess it is all his fault after all. He deserved it. As for his cards, they'll probably be worth as much as Peter Warrick cards. Curse Warrick, I wasted $10 on a box of 200 base Dominion cards just to get his RC in 2000.

05-27-2005, 05:41 AM #9Winslow tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and suffered unspecified internal injuries on May 1 when he wrecked his high-powered motorcycle while attempting tricks in a secluded parking lot near his home.
For the first time since the crash, Winslow confirmed that he will miss his second season as a pro and acknowledged that it was a mistake to take up motorcycle riding
After reading this, well actually the whole press release.....His cards are toast.
