    Trump For President

Was just watching Fox and Friends and they did a phone interview with Donald Trump. at the end of the interview they asked him if he was going to run for president in 2012 and he said that he is waiting to make his decision after they finish taping Celebrity Apprentice.

So Trump is thinking of running for president. Good idea? Bad idea?

I am not entirely against it. As a person I don't care for him much but it is hard to argue against his financial management skills and ability to negotiate. Perhaps having a pitbull in thw WH for a change will shake things up. Two things he was adamant about was stopping treating China like our best friend while they are working to destabalize our country and dealing with OPEC constantly raising oil prices.

Really? How many times has he been bankcrupt and left his creditors high and dry? He's just what the US needs.

I am not saying he is a perfect candidate, but who is?

His businesses have suffered financial difficulties, no doubt, but the difficulties have been during recessions. It is hard to have a successful casino and resort business when everybody is staying home and saving their money. Show me a business that was highly successful in the 90's and early 2000's and I will show you a business that is struggling now. Just because Trump is not immune to a recession does not in and of itself make him a bad candidate.

We'd have to do something about that hair. Like a 330 million person intervention on Donald Trump's hair.

I think trump is too polarizing to make a real legitimate run at the presidency. People either like him or hate him. Sure there have been other successful business men make decent runs (forbes and perot for example) but these days I think he's too much of a celebrity and a lightening rod. I also find it hard to believe he'd honestly want to give up control of all of his other ventures to be the president. If he did win, I wonder which one of his crappy products he'd try to advertise during the state of the union. lol

I don't want him running simply because he is too much of a celebrity. I'm all for successful business people running for offices, I think we need more of them in charge. But I am completely against celebrities in office and at this point his celebrity overrides his business acumen.

Yeah, you're probably right. But if he ran with Snooki from Jersey Shore, he'd probably win.

That would be my one-way ticket to becoming an ex-pat.

Nope. He would lose my vote if he ran with Snooki. Jwoww is fine but no Snooki... :)
