Smile Decided To Contact Yogi Berra AGAIN

    Ok so heres the story,
3 months ago, I sent yogi a letter and a SASE, Asking for him to just sign the paper... No response... So I take it as a Failure. then 2 and a half weeks ago I decided he wanted cash, then i saw on the TTM success for him that 50% of people Sent No cash so I just sent SASE, Card, 2 page letter, and 2 bucks.. Still nothing back yet .. So I decided to post on his Museum Website (theres a link what says ask Yogi) Where is my card? Are you going to sign it? So Lets see how that works out (:

First off, no player is required to sign anything that is sent to them TTM (or when approached IP for that matter)..

I think the way you worded it was not well, and is a horrible reflection on people who collect autos TTM. And for all I know, you might not have meant it that way. Those type of responses to athletes are what drive players to stop signing TTM.

If I were Yogi my response would be, "Did you send $100 as my price list indicates?" Not that Yogi is ever to see or hear about the post on his website though . . .

Give Yogi a break,he is not required to sign your item,or to return it!if you are hell bent on getting his signature pay the fee listed on his site or move on,rather than come on here to bash him!

Give to this guy a break. He's new to TTM and there's nothing wrong with wanting to get his autograph back. Yogi Berra may return it and he may not. That's what makes TTM the fun hobby that it is.

    ^^^ this

Cmon guys, as I've said ease off the elitist card just a bit. Was he a bit bush league in this post? Probably. But from what I have gathered in PMs he is a big yogi fan and is frustrated to see all these free returns and not his.

I told him to keep sending every few months as there are windows that open and closed, but as we all know it's no sure thing.

Anyways I want to make this forum a place for people to learn, and if we jump all over people for making mistakes then it will drive them away, and he seems like a good, active member of this community.

I had No Intension's at all to make Yogi Mad or Upset in anyway. Just a fan asking a question nothing more.. I apologize if anyone took offense to it.

Not to mention, its only been 2 weeks since you sent your return out, it may very well still come back to you.
