    His career might be over. And when he comes back he will never be the same. Odd it was matt hunwick who put him in the boards, a teammate just a few months ago.

    It really is a shame when you think about it. Savard's a mighty fine player who was having a very respectable career. I'd easily call him a star in the NHL. To have his career possibly ended at the age of 33 in that fashion isn't right.

    But Mike Milbury will say that he just needs to be more of a man.

    true but i dont think at all it was a dirty hit whatsoever. Savard was just down fairly low and on par with the border between the glass and boards. Really tough to see but I really cant see him coming back from this.

    I agree totally. This was a only a matter of "when" not "if" he was going to get hurt. Reminds me a bit of Tony Conigliaro, of Red Sox fame.
