    Question on Donruss Rookies

I purchased a Donruss blaster the other day and I pulled a #278 Carter Hutton Rated Rookies card. On the bottom of the card it has the little shaded box where an on card auto or a sticker auto should be.

So my question is, should this card have an auto on it or are they all printed this way? Any help is appreciated.

There appears to have been a bunch that were just printed that way to prep them for auto'd versions but were not actually intended to have them.
