Anyone in the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge area of Ontario looking for something to do?

I just remembered that the Hespeler Arena Show is on today from 10-2.
Think i will go and have a wander about.

It is at 640 Ellis RD. Cambridge (Hespeler Arena)

I am from Kitchener but I am at work this weekend.

On the other hand. Their is no card show in Kitchener except for at Bingemans but those shows are pretty rare. Anyone from the K-W area think that their could be a local card show? I have though of the idea because their are a good number of card collectors in the area. I have toyed with the idea in the past and now I will ask others for their opinions.

I have thought of a great way to do admission as well. Let me kno what you guys think of it. Charge people $2 for admission or they can donate any game used or auto card to get in for free. Then I will give kids the game used or auto cards when they show up. It would be great for the kids and incentive to get them collecting. Like that idea?

I'm also in Kitchener... can't make it to the show today but I think a small show in K-W could work. We've got about a half a dozen (hockey) guys on this site alone.. not to mention collectors in the other sports I may not know about.
I know the shows in Woodstock, etc. do alright so I don't see why K-W couldn't host!

I am not sure what the costs would be to rent a hall. I had to rent a hall last summer for a stag and doe but that was approx $350. That included having a bartender and staff to clean as the night went on though. Anyone have any ideas where a good hall and what the approx price would be to rent it out would be?

We do have a lot of collectors here and three card shops in K-W that I could put flyers up in.

The woodstock toy and collectible show is 1 of the best in the area.

The next 1 at Bingemans is Feb 20th. It is not near as good as woodstock.

The one today at the Hespeler arena was rather small compared to the last couple of times I have been to it.
