Hi from the land of the Bolts!
I would like to introduce myself, I'm "munchiesthemonkey" aka Tom. Many years ago I was on Sportscardsheriff, but because I'm a single dad with 2 kids in highschool time and money were an issue. I can't believe what's happened with the hobby, and that some packs are $100.00 or more, it's a good thing I quit smoking a few years ago - more packs!
My daughters and I love monkeys, world of warcraft, and opening packs. They love non-sports, I love it all. We have a dozen sock monkeys we treat like royalty. My first sock monkey "munchies" has been to Blizzcon & Comicon several times, dressed up as Planet of the Apes warriors, and Tauren druids. My townhouse is wall to wall, Star Wars, Mego, Marvel, Spawn, Hulk, McFarlane movie maniacs & dragons, action figures galore. Tens of thousands spent.
Super Collector? UD Authenticated helmets, footballs, jerseys, 2 cardguard football binders full of rookies & their parrallel variants, more binders full of subsequent years cards, SLU's, McFarlane's, bobbleheads, beanies, posters, rookie auto plaques, framed official photos, gu & gw jerseys and 1/1's and printing plates, 18-wheeler official auto toys with RM hologram, minted coins, magazines, oddball cards, nfl ticket stubs, and other curios all of one player... ...Randy Moss. Easily over 2,500 cards, I stopped counting.
I will be listing various cards in my collection in the inventory on this site. It will take awhile.
I am also collecting:
Ladainian Tomlinson
Antonio Gates
Taylor Price
Jonathan Crompton
Aaron Hernandez
Rob Gronkowski
Ryan Mathews
Bluray movies (I trade Raiders cards for movies with a guy from the local swapmeet.
Chargers cards (mid to high end, jerseys, autos, /100 and under. I have spent close to $6,000 on cards in 2010, around $1,200 so far in 2011, I know alot of people outspend me, but this is the most I've spent on cards ever.
One collection I finished recently, for nostalgic reasons due to my childhood in this decade, sealed Topps football and Stadium Club (both series 1 & 2 where applicable) card boxes for every year 1980 to 1990. Did not open any of them, somewhere lurks a Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Joe Montana, Reggie White, and who knows, it's tempting but I'll try to keep them sealed.
To get on a personal note. In mid 2010 after getting a flu shot (rare but it happens) I was strickened & sickened with Guillain-Barre, one of the scariest diseases ever. I was paralyzed from toe to head, trached, on a ventilator, for months. I am in recovery now and couldn't have survived without the aid & love & prayers of family & friends.
My favorite toy right now, my Toshiba X505 Intel core i7 laptop with 8gb memory, (2) SSD Drives 200gb system, 96gb Linux Kubuntu systen, and (1) 1TB spinner. This rig is faster than Jimmie Johnson.
I am looking forward to a future of buys and trades here. Thank you for the opportunity. Having explored a bit, I do ascertain alot of good & friendly people here.

Welcome to SCF Tom. I used to live in La Mesa for awhile and then moved to coronado. really liked CJ's before they moved out to Poway. If you have questions or need some assistance, let me know.
That Flu shot and the result of it sounds a wee bit scary. Glad to see you are recovering.
