I'm looking to get one. How much did everyone pay for their shield and which player? Thanks!

I've owned a number of shields and they cost me anywhere from $300 to $1200. All had at least one star player at a few were auto'd. You could probably pick up a decent player (possibly even auto'd) for under $300.

My Frolik was about $230, I think - I knew it would be my only chance to get one, so I bit the bullet.

I'm pretty sure I saw a Roy autographed 1/1 shield card get sold for around $800, but I'm not 100% sure about the price.

That's been my experience, too, and I'd also say that you get what you pay for.

The only one where I went outside of this range was for my 2007 Ultimate Logos Shield of Jonathan Toews. Normally, though, I think $300-$1,000 is a good range.

I use to own the Rene Bourque Ultimate Rookie Shield.

It stood me $300-350 when I got it. Later traded it to add a higher-end Crosby Rookie.

I'll be gunning for that Brandon Yip Ultimate Rookie Shield. Hope it pops up, cause when it does... IT'S MINE!!! lol ... for the right price that is.

My Kris Russell/Erik Johnson was $300 and my Kris Russell Hot Prospects Shield 1/1 was a gift from the best guy in the hobby.
