    Panini Certified Blaster?

    Folks,

I have seen blaster boxes of Panini Certified at my local WalMart but I continually pass on them because they only have something like 3 packs for $35 and with no odds printed on the boxes I didn't expect there was a good chance of pulling anything decent.

However, I have been hearing that there have been 1 or 2 hits in each blaster and mostly everything that can be pulled in hobby can also be found in the blasters.

Has anybody here tried these, and if so have you pulled anything nice?

I did 2 of them. I got some nice hits. A patch auto /5, was the best, although it wasn't a huge player it paid for 1 of the blasters. I think I got another prime patch /25, a bunch of mirror reds /25 and lots of other parallels. I wasn't disappointed. If you are looking to resell the cards you should be good, I broke even with the patch auto /5 and the other material cards and I still have all the parallels and base.

I have done a few of these and usually get two hits every time. One will be an insert or parallel and the other is a memorabilia hit.

Even got a Paajarvi RC out of one.

For the price, it's like getting a free pack relative to my LCS.

Thanks for the input guys, I think I'm going to try one or two since I have an incredible itch to bust something and I really don't want to bust the UD blasters. My WalMart has had 08/09 Series 2 on for $10 each and I still won't go near them, glad there is an alternative that can actually guarantee a couple of hits!

Whatever you do stay away from Artifacts blasters! I had good luck with Score as well if that interests you.

I got 2 basic jerseys as well in Artifacts. Not worth the money spent on the blasters.

Someone must have caught on to the Certified blasters, there were only two left at my local WalMart when I went in this morning. Bought the last two and got three hits:

    Jared Cowen Freshman Signatures 0221/1299
Scott Gomez Mirror Red Dual Jersey 133/150 (Red swatch and blue/white swatch)
Alex Goligoski Mirror Red Dual Jersey 015/150 (Both gold swatches)

VERY impressed with these blasters, I will be buying these up whenever my WalMart stocks them. For around ten dollars more than a Series 1 tin you get a guaranteed memorabilia card and a good shot at an auto (including the hard-signed rookies). You'd have to buy two or three of the Series 1 tins to have a realistic chance at a jersey card and they're not even as nice as these.
