    Erasing permanent marker from photo

    How do you guys do it? Are there various different ways? I never had to do it before, so this is my first time...any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

    Do you know if that action can be done even if the sharpie has been on the photo for a week already? or does it have to be done IMMEDIATELY?

    Well, I just tried it on a "spare" glossy photo that I had - didn't work! Thank goodness it was just a throw away photo I had made on my HP PhotoSmart (309g). It was on Kodak (gloss) photo paper. I used a blue sharpie, let my writing dry and then rubbed a blue Expo dry eraser over the area. When I tried to wipe it I could still see the writing through what I had rubbed on and all I did was create a big blue smudge over the area. No way that stuff was coming off that photo. Did I use the wrong magic potion?

    It doesn't work on print at home stuff. That paper, no matter how good it says it is, isn't the same as photo lab paper. I'll make a video of me doing it on a photofile glossy later this week to show that it works on glossies, too.
