New Pickups, Exciting Weekend!!!

First posting of baseball stuff, kind of excited.

Went to Twins Fest for the Minnesota Twins this weekend on Friday night and Saturday. Got a ton of autographs and a few auto cards

Sorry to be long winded but here's what I'm going for, For Pitchers I get an autographed official major league baseball and an 8x10 photo, for hitters, I get an autographed baseball and a bat. Now I'm also going to try and get an on the card auto of the players I get so I can reference the autograph.

I too was at TwinsFest this past weekend, missed out on a few opportunities to get autos due to it being my first trip and I found out on short notice. Otherwise I would have been much more prepared.

I got autographed baseballs from Phil Niekro and Rollie Fingers. I also got my TwinsFest ticket autographed by Kyle Waldrop, Kyle Gibson, and Joe Benson. I was feet away from Denard Span and didn't notice the crowd, otherwise I would have gotten his auto too on something. Next year I'll know though.

Yeah, I could have gotten a few more, but I already have pretty much everything I needed. Maybe next year if I find some good game used stuff I'll get some more big names.

So Friday I waited 5 hours and 10 minutes for Jim Thome and got a bat signed. In the process the Mauer line was in the same spot and they asked if anyone else wanted Mauer and I passed it up for Thome. Was it the right thing to do? I think so! I already have three Mauer autos in person and no thome.

definately come prepared to twinsfest, I had a list of everyone i needed and got all of them and more. So much fun talking with fans too!

dude... definitely would have taken the Mauer over the Thome... if it were my first or second. you already have 3! thats quite a haul!

Woah....I never knew the TwinsFest was such a big deal. I kept hearing people talk about it, but I thought it was you normal old FanFest. Guess not.
