Is this wrong when getting a pack out of a box?

Yeah I bet you all said I was going to say pack search..YEAH RIGHT screw pack searchers anyway:

Is it like disrespect or rude or somehting when I buy a pack for just say $5..I give the guy the $5 and go to the box to pick my pack. Then like go through the packs digging through the box trying to find a thick? I always feel weird doing this but i mean technically since you paid cant you pick whatever pack you want..LMK your views on this.

I hear, yeah, searchers suck, but if you see a pack that is thicker and heavier...why not, right? Most of the time it's probably just a decoy anyway!! But you should be able to pick any pack.
I don't really buy packs, so I don't really have that problem.

You're doing the exact same thing they do, only you're in denial and trying to justify it. You may not put the same ammount of effort in it as they do but you're still trying to find that special pack with more than just the luck of the draw. Everyone probably does it in their own way, even if they don't realize it. Do I? I'll have to get back to you on that after I buy a loose pack from a store.

whats the point of buying a single pack if you dont get the game used or auto? the whole idea of pack searching has been harped too much on here lets just let it go shall we? thats the same as buying 1 lotto ticket hoping to hit the multi-million dollar jackpot. sure i could go through and buy every single number combination in tickets then i would be gauranteed a winning ticket but theres no fun/profit in that is there. the one in a million thats what everyone buying single packs is looking for and wants and theres nothing wrong with that.

whats wrong with this? if anything i say your not trying hard enough to get that game used, savvy consumers should be rewarded for their brains not punished for "cheating, killing the spirit of little kids, and fingering packs." what if i took a digital scale and wieghed out each bag of dorritos i buy and i bought the one that weighed the most and ended up with a few more chips am i breaking some little kids heart, he didnt get the extra chip he was hoping for. maybe some fat guy will stop by and harass me for ruining cooler ranch chips for him.

if your gonna live in a capitalist society like we do its eat or be eaten those afraid to eat will starve to death. dont be a marxist PACK SEARCH!

dude that is halarious, seriously, not being sarcastic, or rude, it really is funny, and in a sense I agree with you, and to stay on topic, some brands have half thick packs, half skinny packs, with the game used/auto divided evenly throughout them, as for the other brands its a hit or miss with me, but I dont take my time feeling them, but by no means, will I let someone else pick my pack for me.
I want to be the one to be mad at if I dont pull something good, I dont want the shop owner, picking me the pack that doesnt have anything in it, especially since packs are so damn exspensive these days.
Just my 2 cents, and as far as pack searching goes, just drop it, its going to happen as long as there are still blister packs. so just live with it.

A friendly reminder to please watch what you say as pack searching does have the ability to lead to out of hand topics.

goout, the way you suggest is ok. Everybody is allowed to just quickly stick their hand in the box and pick out a pack, if they can come up with a way to search the box doing that more power to them. It comes down to when they make it a point to search the pack taking each pack out, feeling the packs and all that while everybody can see them doing that.

search all you want. you are the customer and you paid in full so you can, and should take whatever pack you want. As long as you don`t damage what others may buy, no harm done. I normally don`t buy packs. When I do, I always search for one that I think might be good. I usually do better when I just grab a random pack. So not a lot of time is really spent on searching.

It's ok if you do a once-over on the packs and pick the one you think may have something. But if you really sit there and feel them up really good that's bad.

I know when I buy retail I grab all the backs into one pile, turn them on their side and look to see if there's a difference in thickness and pick the one that's odd looking...I've never pulled anything good anyway so I havn't cheated anyone :P.
