So how much would you guys pay?

For a box of retail 08-09 UD ICE.

Just curious. Were there any decent hits in the retail boxes (5 packs per box).

    Thanks!

You mean a blaster box? That's all I can think of that would have 5 packs in it - depending on where you are and if there's a sale they should be around 25 or so.

Those 5 pack blasters sold for $19.99. in the US I believe. In 5 pacs you'll be luck to get an insert.

They are like Artifacts Blasters, all base and little else.

I honestly wouldn't pay over $10, I think you'd be better off buying a few hobby packs over a blaster of Ice.

I could be wrong but i think you maybe able to have a chance at a /99 rc.I have seen them for about $19.99 but that is an awfully big gamble.

My cousin is an impulse buyer and will buy retail packs at the corner store for likely ridiculous prices. This year out of a few packs he pulled a Retro Eberle and Retro young gun checklist. I don't know how he does it, but I always stick to hobby.

I have only ever bought retail blasters of Upper Deck Series 1 and this year I've bought 1 and actually got my money out of it. (Evander Kane YG and Brodeur painting)

Don't expect anything if you do buy it, but good pulls are possible.

Even opening the hobby box with lots more packs was a gamble and it was difficult to hit anything good. That's why the better Ice cards sell for so much, IMO anyway, since the odds of finding the good cards in Ice wax seem so high. But at least you've now got some advice on pricing and since it's the rookie year for Stamkos, GO FOR IT if your wallet permits and GOOD LUCK!

The 08/09 one's weren't very good I think... Still, you could get a major hit if you're lucky.
