First, write a letter to the player. Remember to be polite and be considerate of the player's time like, "If you have the time, could you please sign my card?"

Second, put a SASE (Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope) in the first envelope. An envelope in an envelope. Just write your address on the SASE and put a stamp on it. This makes it much easier for the player to send it back to you.

Third, write the team's address on the envelope and mail it!

Remember to be patient because most reponses take months!

As for what to send, a flat is good. By flat I mean an 8 x 10 photo or baseball card.

    Good luck!

Don't send anything that you would miss if it never came back because many of them never will so don't send a valuable card, unless of course it is to someone like Brett Hull who seems to return everything and usually pretty quickly.
