A Bit on Andrew Brunette
Hopefully everyone stopping in to visit Hockey Wilderness understands that the writers behind the site are Wild fans first. Sure, we consider ourselves journalists, but a different form of journalist. We write from a fan's perspective, and are unabashed about doing so.
So forgive me if I tell you that Andrew Brunette is my favorite Wild player. The guy comes out every game, every practice and works so hard (Sorry Tom) that it can't help but translate to those around him. As Russo points out in his piece on Bruno today, and as every coach and fan to ever watch Bruno play has noted: the guy is not very fast. Yet, there is no one who does't like the guy.

On the old http://www.divealanche.com website, there were spoof biographies on all the Dive's players. (Us Red Wing Fans still call them that).
The only one that was true and kind was the one for Andrew Brunette. It said;
"If you look in the pantry and find a sealed can and it says "Hockey Player" on the label, and you open it up, you will find Andrew Brunette."
Very fitting, and to this day the only Colorado Divealanche player I will ever show respect to other than Ray Bourque who was a Bruin.
When you have Brunette on the ice, you are always getting your money's worth.

That guy is a hustler, 100% every game. I have enjoyed every game he has played. I love that he is in Minnesota so I can see every game. I can still remember his game winning goal in the playoffs again the AV's. This guy reminds me of Forsberg behind the net, setting up plays and superb puck control on the wall. Brunette I salute you.
