Error Card
I was just looking through some cards i had gotten a while back and i came across a 2004 Topps Football Card that was misprinted. It is a card of Lavar Arrington #43. But at the top of the card under the Topps Logo, it says Rookie Card.. and obviously he isnt a rookie, 2004 was like his 4th year in the league.. so is this something someone else has come across..? just wondering.

It is his RC. This confused a lot of people.
Back in 2000 he never signed to the NFLPA but companies made cards of him anyway without his consent. So there are cards of him in 2000 but they wern't supposed to be. Finally in 2004 he signed with the NFLPA which let companies make cards of him and Topps never made a card of him until now so this is his RC.

Beckett used to have it as a RC. Guess they changed their minds.
Well anyway my story is the reasoning to Topps at least.

Actually Beckett had an article when 04 Prestige and Draft picks and Prospects hit that these would not be considered rookies in their eyes. i think what might have confused you is that ebay sellers still call it a rookie anyway.
