Does It Bother You When.....
People on forums not just including this one, want to do TTM but do not want to put the effort into it to find the addy's for themselves and constantly hound those who have successes and they just continually post can I have this persons addy or that persons addy? If so how do you combat the problem, I have been trying to ignore them but its getting pretty hard to do so.

Oh Hell Yeah my brother. Testify!!!
its especially irritating when we have a database here- half the time people ask "can someone give me XXX's address" and its in the SCF database
I tend to just ignore them. Sometimes its new people, who ask once until they are told about the ways to find the addys. In that case- no biggie- a helpful point in the right direction is all most people need. The ones who post over and over find their way to my ignore list. If they are too lazy to look around, why are they doing TTM? If you really want a particular athletes auto, I would think you would do some work to find it. If after looking in several places you cant, asking is then totally fine.
My least favorite ones are -who signs good and how much stuff can i send them-
Yeah, those people are really in it for the hobby (NOT)

Yes! I whole-heartedly agree. It gets frustrating when they can't do a simple search for a team address. I just try and ignore them....
I agree with Palantri; the peop;e that have threads like "What are the best ttm guys in the NBA?" Why do you only have to send to automatic returns? They sure try a new concept: send to players you actually are a fan of!

One of the reason I joined SCF is because it was a great way to exchange celebrity addresses, show actual graphs and overall exchange ideas for our hobby. The TTMM feature is a fantastic database of useful information that I enjoy being a contributor. Unfortunately, some people either don't know how to use it or just ignore it and ask for an addy that is already included - this will never totally stop.
I think a majority of members have more problems with forums/threads where someone will post a success but will not share the addy in the TTMM. If you can't share an address, why post a success? I did that once early on and saw how wrong it really was to do it. Now, if I get someone that I'm specifically told not to share the addy, I put it in my collection and never post anything anywhere...

yep, agree 100%. not to read into it too much, but its basically a microcosm of our world at large (or maybe just our country). many people dont want to work to find or achieve things. they want it handed to them. i'm a college instructor and my students always want a "study guide". i asked them what they mean by a study guide. they say all their other teacher list whats important so they can cram for tests. i tell them "i gave you a study guide. its called my lectures over the last 3 weeks." pretty sure my students dont like me, but i dont give a ™™™™.

Yeah I hear that, I'm a 2nd year medical student, and in my class there are students who go up after every lecture (generally a different professor gives us lectures every day) and ask him or her "if there is 1 thing you want me to take from this lecture, what is it?" The same 15-20 people go and ask these types of questions every day between classes, they pretty much are asking what the test will be. I'm a purist and I study the material as it is presented. Not that I don't like a good study guide or shortcut, but I don't expect my professors to provide it like most people seem to do. I agree it's a pitfall with my generation and this country.
However I still have no problem making a few posts asking for help with a given player (hopefully the thread starters here will agree that my effort to cut down on making new threads has been working).
