    Does this look suspicious?

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks

It does look suspicious. Almost all the auctions have only one bid from the same person that's made near the very beginning of the auction. So at first blush, it looks like he places one bid to try and ensure the card sells for no less than that bid, in order to help the seller. Your example auction shows he was outbid by one other person, who won that auction.

While it's possible that he's only bidding once and setting his highest price from the get-go, most bidders who truly want the card will bid again towards the end of the auction or bid more than once at some point. While it's possible that he's bookmarked the seller to be notified of all the seller's new auctions and that's why he usually bids at the very start of the auction, it doesn't fit what you'd normally expect. And none of this seems likely when 94% of his bid activity is with the same seller.

Ideally, it would be nice to know how all the other auctions ended or at least a good sampling of them, to see if he ever wins any of those other auctions and if so, do the cards get relisted right away by him or the original seller.

He is using another account to create a reserve without people realizing there is a reserve. By doing so he doesn't lose it for less that he wants and bidders won't shy away like most do when they know a reserve is set.

I was jst going to post this. It also looks like he buys in bulk lots from various sellers. A lot of his wins are from sellers who sell lots of inserts and parallels as singles.
