Just gave first negative ebay feedback

About 1 weeks ago I won a Subban certified blue redemption at 51$. Sellers sends me the invoice and charges me 16$ for shipping.

I contacted the seller (via ebay contact seller) to see if he was willing to kill the shipping charge and email me the redemption code upon reception of the paiement. Sellers only replied 4-5 days later saying that the 16$ shipping fees needed to be paid in case of paypal or ebay issue. Contacted him back saying that I did not want insured shipping and that I was willing to pay the 3.50 as stated in the auction. He replied that he relisted the item.

Personally I think that this seller wasn't happy with the sales end price and tried to make few extra $$ by jacking the shipping price up. Well there goes his 100% feedback ratio. I'm pretty sure that I'm right and ebay won't revert that bad feedback.

    Any opinion?

He didn't allow you to pay the 3.50 shipping which it clearly states in his description that you can pay the 3.50 shipping at your own risk. If he put that if the item sells for over 50$ you have to pay insured shipping then it would make sense. However he did not add anything like that in his description he just offered insured and regular for each destination. So in conclusion you were right.

Thanks guys, wasn't sure if I didn't get to emotional about that one! If I'd be a seller, I woudn't take the chance of getting my first bad feedback for few bucks like that

I also agree that you were right. It doesn't say anywhere in the listing that you have to pay insured shipping if the card finishes over X dollars.

Do you share that list at all? I've been buying a lot of things off the Bay recently and such a list would be awesome... Do you know if anyone also has a buyer list of people to avoid?

    Thx!

As for you, HabsMlt, you are definitely in your right to give the dude negative feedback. That's pretty low...
