Any Tips for Ebay Selling
Was curious to find out if anyone has tips for selling on ebay. I am sure some people have their "secrets" that they won't share but hoping that this may become a good discussion.
So as a buyer, what do you look for? Low starting price? Good Description? Avoid But it Now? High Res Images?
As a seller, do you just throw up cards without a thought or do you take the time to enter a lot of detail in the auction description? How do you choose your title words since the space is limited? Do you prefer $0.99 starting and hope the bids roll or a higher starting so there is less risk for you? What is the advantage of using the Buy It Now/Best Offer option, been seeing that a lot lately.

Good questions. I have a way and always am tweaking. Others will share too. I'll add more as time allows.

I put a bunch of adrenalyn xl football cards on ebay. I sold 2 of them. For me it was just the luck of the draw. I was selling something that someone wanted that particular time for the lowest price.

best tip avoid all low dollar transactions...sure its great to get 100 free no insertation fee auctions but it sucks when it does sell and they upped the final value fees and get more out of you then they normally would have...i had 17 cards that went for around 350 bucks and they raped me for 35 for fvf and now paypal gets to rape me as well lol so unless its one of those things sitting around the house that you dont want and the choices are ebay or the trash can then try it but id personally try and sell stuff on this site so your only raped by paypal fees and not a fee just to sell the item lol...you can take a little under ebay prices but your coming out ahead in the long run

The higher you start bidding, the less action you will get. If you hoping for $15 for a card start it at $4.99ish, not $14.95.

But then the issue lies if it only sells for $5 then you just got "robbed" lol.
I've noticed a lot of auctions end with 1-2 bids lately too.
How does the number of feedback a seller has play into your decision to bid and how high you bid?

the only surefire way to avoid getting less then you want in an auction is to start it at the price you want but the chances of it going up much above that are slim to none.
as for bidding on low feedback sellers i think people tend to avoid on nicer items. I personally love low feedback sellers selling high dollar items because i know alot of people will avoid them so i can get steals.
