It's nice the Isles won and stood up for them selves, but bottom line is Pens are going to the playoffs. If this does not carry over for them and they do not start to win games it was a waste.

now i want to go crazy first thing
matt martin comes up behind talbot throws off his gloves and was going to sucer punch him but talbot saw him and droped to the ice and martin punching him. that should be susoension
gilles elbows tangradi in the head tangradi is grabing his face (hes hurt) and gilles still punches him until another brawl brakes out. haley for the islanders fights someone then after that fight he skates to center to brent johnson and johnson asks him to fight. they start fighting and eric godard comes off the bench and its 2 on 1 johnson godard vs hayley. godard will get suspension and fine and pens will get suspended but he did what he had to do. while all that is going on tangradi still down and gilles by the dressing room door yappping at tangradi he looked like he was going to skate back on the ice. he elbows tangradi and still punches him while tangradi is laying on ice hurt. that should be suspension and there should be some fines and other suspensions.
if you didnt like the cooke hit well here is a hit on tangradi worse than the cooke hit. martin elbows him in the head and tangradis head then hits the boards. im mean come on enough is enough

Actually. If you look at that hit. Talbot's shoulder hit Comeau's shoulder.
When it comes down to it. The islanders were a young team with a premeditated attack plan. And they won tonight.
It will be interesting to see how it settles

I wasn't. I was giving some 15 year old Pen's fan grief for backing Cooke.

If the NHL had more games like this it would be watchable.
Simple old time hockey ...the Pens were all laughing and mouthing off last game and yapped in the papers that the Islanders were doormats etc...and they all laughed when Dipetro go ko'd ..dont believe me go watch it on youtube.
So this is what you get ...the players took care of things they way it should be done.
Im sure Bettman will throw a ton of suspensions out .to send a message ...cause he doesnt "get it" never has never will ...and all the nerds on TSN ,and in the Hockey News will cry and say its a "black eye" for hockey etc..but at the end of the day the crowd was rocking for the first time all season at an Islanders game ,im sure nobody changed the channel to watch something else ..isnt that what the NHL wants ,people to watch ?? guess not ..but it was nice to one time during the season to watch a game with passion and anger in it from start to finish ..it was a nice flashback to the 80's

I can understand Pens fans being upset, but come on, take a look in your own backyard here. The Pens had their fair share of cheap shots thrown at the Isles in this game, and the last one. And no, I'm not talking about glass body Dipper. Did all the Pens fans miss the blind side hit to the head on Molson by Godard? Moulson launches a wicked shot (that went in by the way) and Godard came from the blind side and lifts his elbow right into Moulson's bean. Anyone else think that's why Gilles went after Tangradi? I think that might have had something to do with it.
Who was it that launched Grabner into Johnson and the cross bar? Pens got lucky there, Johnson could have been hurt bad and the hit also sent Letang down hard and he looked hurt.
Neither team was innocent here, they both gave and received in this one, the Pens just got the worse end of the deal. Go watch the replays now that it's over and hopefully you are settled down a bit. Johnson got what he asked for as well, he had no business going out towards the blueline shaking his glove and blocker when Haley was heading to the box, he challenged the kid and he probably didnt think the kid would respond. Sorry Brent, next time keep your mouth shut and stay in your crease if you don't want to get punched in the kisser.
Any team with Matt Cooke on it has no right to complain about cheap shots, EVER. Same with any team that ever employed a hack like Chris Pronger. The Pens made a big production after the last game, said some things in the press that were disrespectful, and were laughing about a guy getting his face shattered. Sorry, but they got what they deserved and their just lucky the Isles didn't call up the guy that would have KO'd anyone on the Pens roster in quick fashion, MMA fighter/hockey player Jeremy Yablonski.Last edited by 4ant4; 02-12-2011 at 03:31 AM.
