Need suggestions - got some bday money :D

Alright, so... it's my 16th birthday lol and I have some money

My only priority over cards right now is finishing my custom computer. So, that being said, once I get the final parts I need for it, I will be looking at cards and I need suggestions.

Anything post 2000 of course, I'm just looking for cheap but decent, but I want some help this time. I want to see what every one things I should get

    Thanks!

    Happy Birthday!

If you can wait a couple weeks I'd suggest getting some Crown Royale. Not the kind that you have to wait until you're 21 for....the Panini stuff! LOL

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

start a savings account and put some of the money in there. You will need it more then you know in a few years.

It is your birthday so you could still pick something nice up for your player PC's. I would go the singles route over packs or a box!

RGM: haha I know don't worry lol, I'm clean :) Panini has been nice to me for sure, as I pulled the Yip Hot Rookie auto from a blaster on Christmas lol

jbud: Already got that covered :) I also try to maintain a certain PayPal balance ($40 right now since I haven't sold a lot) too so if I reach it or go under I don't buy, it also may help in a year or 2 if I start to sell more and have a higher limit, you know sort of a buffer. I've been looking on eBay a lot since the players I collect aren't well... the top of the popularity list so I may snatch a nice Cup card for O'Reilly or something! lol

Save some of the money, use the rest to buy a box (or 2) of 06/07 Flair Showcase. Great value for the money ($30 for a box) and you get 2 jerseys and an autograph in every box. Although it's on average, I haven't seen a Flair Showcase box without those 3 hits. Also want to mention that the base cards in the product look sweet.

I don't know if Howard is in the set, but you can check UD's website to see.

If not that product, take 10/11 SPx or UD Series 1, any year. Stay away from UD Ice and Black Diamond, because the average box of those products is usually... bad, let's put it that way, LOL.

    Happy Birthday!

    Thanks for the suggestions guys!

I am very interested in the Flair Showcase actually, I've been eying those for a while. I'm also thinking about maybe getting a couple UD blasters depending on the price because I've seen some nice hits from those.

Cool! I'll be looking forward to a thread with some scans of hits if you decide to buy some boxes.

my oroblem with the showcase is that what you get you will have for the rest of your life no one really wants those cards plus there 5 yrs old. i would reccomend something newer like UD or the blasters
