take away the car and the choir and kenny smith. does the dunk look that great anymore?

they should really just have all 4 stay in the contest and have the fans vote throughout. plus not waste the other 2 losers final dunks cause i'm sure it would have been something nice.

    judges suck.

Wow - people talking about dunking over a car like it happens every day.

Blake won the fan vote too (68%). But the most important thing was this contest was competitive and creative for ALL involved.

I'm with everyone who says Serge Ibaka got robbed in the first round! That was a 50 from the free throw line! I liked Javale McGee's first dunk with 2 rims. And the finals was good but Griffins dunk over the car was ok. If he had done it over the rear instead of the front it would have been alot better.

Anyway a pretty good Saturday Night event I think.

I agree with Barkley and a lot of others on here. Why do people think the Griffin dunk over the car was that impressive? He jumped over the short end of the cars hood. If you take away the car and look at the distance that he went in the air it really is no different than most could do regular breakaway dunks. I mean he took off from inside the free throw circle and had to clear 3.5 feet of the shortest part of the car

Actually it is because you have to keep your legs up high in the air over the entire length of the hood, so your legs don't come down as quickly as they normally do when taking off for a dunk in that same place. Look at the extension he has in that picture and how he has to keep it that way for the rest of the dunk.

Anyway most of you except JesRey just aren't being realistic - this is a dunk most people couldn't achieve except on video games. Most people's legs would come down on the hood before the dunk was even finished.

Most people wouldnt even attempt it because of the chance to faceplant on the hood of the car.

I'm with Khendra... i don't understand why everyone thinks that dunk isn't special.

Stop with "take the car out" because guess what, props are what make a dunk even better.
