Calgary Fans: Need advice on a card...
I pulled a Mikael Backlund Ice RC /99 last year. I did a little research on him and it seemed like he had some decent potential so I held onto the card. I don't get to see many Flames games, but just by checking the stats, it doesn't seem like he's doing a heck of a lot this year.
So my question is: Is he worth holding onto, or should I sell now and get what I can?

He's still young so he could develop into a great player. IMO, I think you should watch a Flames game or two and see for yourself how he's doing. It's your decision, so choose wisely. Also, an Ice /99 RC usually sells for a lot, so no lost money, anyways!
PS. Just because I left a comment in this thread does not automatically make me a Flames fan!

Not a Flames fan, but he was sure fun to watch in junior. He could just need a little time to develop some more.

This season hasn't been that great for him but I do think he'll have a good future with the Flames. He's been working hard and he's got some good talent. It's always tough to say whether he'll see a big hobby value jump as once a prospect flounders for a while it takes a Stamkos- or Price-like resurgence to get things on the upswing again.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

He has been pretty good this year for his playing time, but not great, but he does show a lot of skill sometimes. He is still young and developing so it would be worth holding in my opinion. Right now he looks to me like he could be a 2nd liner, 50-60 point type of guy if he works at it, but he hasn't had a ton of time to play with the top lines with the other veteran center's on the team (Morrison, Jokinen, Stajan). His Ice RC's are probably at there lowest right now, selling for around $30 the last time I checked. I'd hold onto it for another year or two.
