I used the email found in the database on this site. Just like I have found in other threads, he's very personable and sends back and forth with fans. Seems like a guy who cares and wants to let his fans know that. It'd be great to keep a conversation going, but he'd probably get sick of that.

Who are some of the current players? Any baseball, football, or basketball? I'm trying to get most of the well known college coaches. Any you would suggest?

That is weird. I can't get lucky with Ed.

As for current players, I just went team by team and looked if any player had a contact page. If so, I asked for an auto.

Just contact your favorite coach and ask if they would send a picture. Most do.

No idea. I just sent him one a few minutes ago. My signature clearly states my teaching position and the district I work for. If it comes back the same way you got, I will try from my work email and see if that works a little better.

Who else have you sent to? I sent one to Hochuli and received it today, but the picture/envelope was torn in transit. Emailed him and got an email back within an hour saying he'd send out a new one. What a great guy.

I am going to go for David Cutcliffe or Gary Patterson now, maybe both yet tonight and see what I get back.

Simply because you are considered a recruitable athlete (whether you play sports or not), so they are legally just covering their butt. You could be playing skeet shooting, but the University giving you anything that could be considered a gift would be a secondary violation.

Case in point - a school once got a secondary violation because a booster bought an athlete a ham sandwich. Yes, a ham sandwich.

Simple thing - just do not make it obvious that you are still in HS/JH or your age at any point when you email college coaches.

Another recruitable issue, this time with Louisville football coach Charlie Strong. Being in High School isn't working out. I really wanted him, he is one of my favorite coaches. Oh well.

Don't try Steve Sarkisian then. I got an email asking for my age, can't be between 13-22. Thankfully, I'm just on the outside of that window.
