2 questions
Question #1
10/11 Victory cards in U/D packs that are the gold version. Do they say gold version on the card or are they just gold bordered?
Question #2
10/11 U/D 2 retro inserts called Award Winners, are they rarer than the other inserts.
LMK if you know anything. PM is best \
Thanks.

1. Gold border
2. I can only go by retail since I haven't been to the LCS yet, but Award Winners show as 1:534 in the retail which is a tougher pull than anything except the All-Rookie Team at 1:800.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

1. depends on the year, 10-11 Victory dont say gold, they just have a gold border. 09-10 on the other hand has a gold border and says gold

2. UD2 has the continuation of retro's so they're just like the basic retro's only thing different it where the team logo would be at the bottom of the card has "Award Winner Year:----" and them with their trophey
they are seeded more rarely then YG and regular retro's

For the Retros in Series 2
In Hobby, as I don't have the pack odds for Retail available
Base are 1 in 4 or 5 in 24 when you take out the short print
which works out to 960 packs to mathematically get them all
or 40 boxes,
or 3.33 cases (This is an assumption as all Hobby boxes I have seen have had 5 Regular Retros, and 1 Short Print so far)
Young Guns are 1 in 48
which works out to 2400 packs to mathematically get them all
or 100 boxes,
or 8.33 cases
Retired Players are 1 in 96 packs
which works out to 1920 packs to mathematically get them all
or 80 boxes,
or 6.67 cases
Award Winners are 1 in 267 packs which works out to 2403 packs to mathematically get them all
or 100.125 boxes
or 8.34 cases
All-Rookie Team are 1 in 400 packs which works out to 2400 packs to mathematically get them all
or 100 boxes,
or 8.33 cases
Canadian World Juniors are 1 in 240 packs which works out to 3600 packs to mathematically get them all
or 150 boxes
or 12.5 cases
Over all it works out to 1 SP per box with 12.5 cases being the magical number to accomplish the whole set of 300 Retros with the missing link 1 in 2500 packs or 104.167 boxes, or 8.68 cases. (with the acceptance that you will have some doubles so a need to trade is acknowledged)
To put this in perspective
Exclusives are 1 in 48 with 250 in the set, for 12000 packs needed to mathematically get them all,
or 500 boxes
or 41.67 cases The Exclusives are actually rarer that the Retros by a factor of just over 3. the Retros however are just more sought after.
But then again my math could be wrong...
So the Base retros are more common than the Retired Players, which are in turn more common than the Retro YGs, Award winners, and All Rookie Team which are about the same in quantity, if you want the Matt Duchene All-Rookie Team Card and the Tyler Seguin YG Retro then they are the same odds and the same qunatity, if you just want to hit a Retro YG, or Awards Winner, or All-Rookie Team card then it is easier to get them in that order because there is 50 in the set, then 9 in the set, then 6. Finally the Canadian World Juniors retros are the rarest of them minus the missing link.Last edited by mikecole141; 02-21-2011 at 07:17 PM.
