Question RE: 2001-02 Pacific Arena Exclusives
Hey Gang,
On my hunt to locate the few remaining Tyler Moss cards I don't have I noticed a seller on eBay had several cards from 2001-02 Pacific Arena Exclusives (these are /50) so I e-mailed to ask if he had the Tyler Moss card.
He responded and let me know that he does not have one - but also mentioned that only a couple players from each team were produced and therefore, although beckett.com lists the entire 400-card set, the Moss card may not have (and probably wasn't considering his star-level of obscure) have been created.
Now, I doubt anyone here can verify the existence of the Tyler Moss card in particular - but does anyone else have information regarding this set? The info came from a seller I have dealt with before and trust, so I'm inclined to believe he is correct.
We've got some pretty knowledgeable collector's on this site - Can anybody add some details?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Halo

No idea..... but I could suggest talking to the eBay seller paralleldave (I think he's also a member here, same name). I've talked to him in the past, and the guy seems to know everything about parallel cards.

The "top 3" players from each team were made for that set. On another collecting site, they were trying to make up that particular checklist from what people knew and had in their possession. Was Moss a flame or a Hurricane at that point in time? I don't think he was one of the 3 for the flames, but I'm unsure about Carolina.

Hey! Thanks for the info - Moss was pictured on the cards as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes. If you can find any additional info as to if the card was produced I would really appreciate a heads-up!

Message paralleldave about it - maybe he'll know something about the set! Good luck finding more info regarding those cards.

Thanks for the list, Greg! Great help! Sad to see the Moss has not been confirmed and is likely not to have been produced.. but at least I won't look quite as hard now! lol
PS.. I spoke with paralleldave regarding the set - he was only able to confirm that a very limited number of each card were produced and some not at all.. basically confirmed my previous findings. He is a valuable resource for certain though - he's helped me with some of my other parallel nightmares.

Old thread, but I figured I'd wade in with my $0.02
I was told that the LCS here in Victoria was actually the ones who put the serial #s on these cards and were told part way through that the idea was scrapped. I picked up my Osgood card from him 7 or 8 years ago when it was still "new". I will ask them if they have a list of which cards were 100% produced, and see if that helps?
Then again, maybe the story is crap.. I'll see either way! lol

Confirmed with the owner of the card store -- Tyler Moss was NOT produced for that set. You can definitely scratch it off your want list.
