This comes from www.prowrestling.com
- Dave Meltzer reports that people in WWE were "shocked" over how angry and emotional people got about Christian losing the World Title to Randy Orton which airs this Friday on Smackdown.
WWE fans really wanted Christian to hold on the belt for longer than he did. Chris Jericho also wrote maybe this is the beginning of an awesome storyline.

People are getting tired of it being the same guys dominating the main event scene. Here we are just over a month removed from WrestleMania and oh look, John Cena and Randy Orton have the belts. They capped Miz just as he was really hitting his stride and emerging as a great heel champion. They were obviously in a pickle over the World Heavyweight Title due to Edge's sudden retirement, but hot-shotting the belt on to Orton right after giving it to Christian reeks of desperation.
While it's a possibility that they may be able to develop a good feud between Orton & Christian due to the very real anger of many fans over jobbing him so quickly, the tendencies of the booking don't exactly inspire me with a ton of confidence. A Christian heel turn would be awesome though.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

It could be a good feud leading up to a match at SummerSlam.

I just feel that everytime WWE tends to give good talent a chance to shine, they get scared and plug the plus prematurely...in this case WAY TO prematurely, I mean come on Christian didn't even have the belt a week...that's pathetic for someone who is pushed to be champion regardless of the circumstances.
If they think he's good enough to be champion but only for 2 days then why give him the strap to begin with

And to be honest, in my opinion, Ortons last championship reign didn't do anything for me. almost forgetful. but I agree with Apocalypz, they get too scared. I mean look at the "youth movement" that they had pushed for last year.
