Topps is dumb in a way because big names like Cena shouldn't have alot of auto's because having so many out there they are easier to come by and aren't worth as much in the long run. I think their way of thinking on it is "well gee if we give the whole world a Cena auto then they will all be happy and buy more boxes" lol

The worth of their cards isn't something they have to consider. Kinda says so on the box. Topps, or any other card company, does not guarantee any card to hold or attain future value.

true but having a million Cena auto's doesn't help them for people to continue buying their product

basically what they have done is got us hooked on a consistently decent product. now the autos will be harder to get and the product probably not as good as the last few but it doesn't matter because they know we will buy them anyway.
kinda reminds me of when i smoked cigarettes haha. they had me hooked and knew i would keep on buying

With cigarettes there are so many different brands to chose from. With the WWE cards you have no substitutes.
You are right though, they could rush sets and make crap like Tristar is doing and it's still gonna sell just because it's WWE. When is a sell-sheet and/or checklist gonna be out on this set? I want to know if its something I might buy.
If Edge & Mysterio are the biggest autos for me to get I won't even bother. I don't too much like the design of the base cards anyways.

i didn't see anything wrong with the flow of sets they had going. i know its just a filler set before the 2011 topps regular set but so far doesn't look that great

At least they aren't saying there's going to be a HHH auto they'll never be able to produce.

Yeah they don't skimp out on the autos and always include the giggest names, to be sure. I just have issue with the fact that they could not take the time to get different pictures for the different sets. Kevin Nash has the same picture card in Icons that he did in another set. There was at least one other wrestler I noticed that for. They could get different shots for the Autograph inscriptions but not the base set.

yea they did the same thing for HBK from 05-06 Topps Heritage. They had the same exact picture AND number of the card as if they couldn't come up with a different pic?
